About Me

I am proud to be a part of the Guaranteed Rate team as Vice President of Mortgage Lending with 11 years’ experience in the Industry as a loan originator and mortgage banker. During those years I have been a recipient of awards for my outstanding accomplishments pertaining to successful loan closings and customer service. My most recent awards include being a three year (2011, 2012, 2013) recipient of the Five Star Mortgage Professional Award published in the March issue of San Diego Magazine. This award was given to less than 7 percent of the licensed mortgage professionals in the San Diego area who delivered exceptional service to their clients. In addition I was named by the Building Industry Association (BIA) as the 2014 “Year of the Volunteer” Recipient. The honor was given to a small number of members who have set themselves apart with their time and dedication to the BIA’s mission. You will find that I represent my client’s interests and operate with an emphasis on integrity and service. I do this by taking a consultative approach to the home loan process by building relationships with my clients, builders and business partners, knowing the loan market and studying underwriting guidelines. Anyone who works with me knows I get the JOB done.

Loan Officer Interview Q&A's

How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
I have been in the mortgage business for 11years. During those years I have been a recipient of numerous awards for my accomplishments pertaining to successful loan closings and customer service. My past accomplishments include qualifying for Guaranteed Rate's President's Club. This accomplishment is based on my 2012 loan volume production which is recognized Nationally within Top-Producing Originators. Additionally I was named part of The Nation’s Top 1% of Mortgage Originators by Mortgage Executive Magazine. Mortgage Executive Magazine compiled the most comprehensive list of The Nation's Top 1% of Mortgage Originators who delivered results in a challenging mortgage market. Mortgage Executive Magazine seeks to recognize and celebrate the service, dedication, and hard work that leading mortgage professionals put into serving their clients during the home loan process. In 2009 I was a President's Club Member which recognizes loan originators for achieving a high volume of successful loan closings for that year.

Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
There are many mortgage products that consumers may not be aware of including Jumbo and Super Jumbo loans, our 80/10/10 Conventional loans, HELOCs, FHA 203K renovation loan, USDA, Investment loans and Fannie Mae's Delayed Financing Loan.

What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
I would say the top misconceptions that people have about the home loan process is that it is a long 60-day process, that the Banks always continue to ask for additional documentation and that Banks try not to "make" loans. All of these things are not accurate and I would say the most important piece to all of this is working with the right Loan Officer and Processing team. It is crucial to have a Loan Officer who knows what they are doing!

Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I grew-up in Seattle, Washington and moved down to San Diego to attend college at the University of San Diego. While attending USD I was in the Alpha Phi sorority and was taking classes to Minor in Leadership and Marketing. I graduated at USD with a Bachelor in Business Administration. After graduating I knew I wanted to stay in San Diego and have since bought a home with my husband in North County.

Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Besides being dedicated to my clients and business partners as the Vice President of Mortgage Lending at Guaranteed Rate I like to play golf in my spare time and take long weekend trips for some needed R&R. I also love sushi and I am an internet shopper!
