We Treat Customers How We’re Treated

Guaranteed Rate employs the most talented and knowledgeable people in the mortgage industry. More top loan originators in the national rankings of Scotsman Guide, Mortgage Executive and Origination News work here than at any other bank or mortgage company. We also boast more loan originators in the top 1 percent nationally than any other lending institution, according to Mortgage Executive Magazine.

culture

We hire only the best in all areas of our business, including customer support and technology. With the expertise of our rapidly-expanding tech group, we’re seamlessly offering the most efficient way for home buyers to get a loan online with the World’s First Digital Mortgage.

How do we carry one of the industry’s highest customer service ratings? We treat our customers how we like to be treated. We firmly believe in having a company culture that emphasizes successful career development combined with individual wellness. In fact, we’ve won numerous awards for it, including Chicago Inno’s “Coolest Company” recognition and being named one of Chicago Tribune’s “Top Workplaces”. We work hard, but love to have fun, too!

The Guaranteed Rate team can enjoy:

  • Creative work spaces designed to facilitate collaboration, like our stunning
corporate headquarters, housed in a restored timber loft on Chicago’s north side, which includes a fully appointed 5,000 square foot roof deck with breathtaking views of the city.
  • A fully-developed wellness program, which includes an on-site gym with weights, machines and classes including CrossFit and yoga, as well as access to a certified personal trainer.
  • An onsite nurse practitioner available to employees free of charge.
  • A juice bar and healthy meal options prepared by a professionally-trained onsite chef, named as one of the best employee food perks in the nation by Thrillist.com.
  • Free monthly massages from a certified massage therapist.
  • Free turkeys for all employees around the winter holidays.
  • Monthly happy hours.

Connected to the Community

Another key aspect of our culture is making the communities that we call home better places to live. We established the Guaranteed Rate Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, designed to help families in times of unexpected financial hardship.

To date, the Foundation has helped more than 800 individuals in aid for acute medical needs, disaster relief and scholarship assistance. In 2014, we launched the first “Ultimate Neighborhood Give Back Challenge,” where we award $100,000 to six worthy community improvement projects nationwide. Our national spokesperson, Ty Pennington, spent a day working at the site of the grand prize winner.

We also have several events in the office to encourage employees to be active in the community and give back. Our annual food drive raised over 46,000 pounds (23 tons) of food and personal care items this year alone. During the neighborhood clean-up each spring, employees volunteer to pick up trash near the corporate office. These are just a few of the ways we give back to the community each year.
