Loan Officer Interview Q&A's
I have been in the mortgage business for over 17 years. I was drawn to the business by its high pace and the ability to make an instant difference for a client buying a home or refinancing. To this day I enjoy working very closely with my clients and providing that personal customer service that I expect as a consumer. I am very involved from beginning to end.
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
The mortgage industry has changed significantly in many ways over the last few years. Now more than ever it is important to work with a trusted referral partner. It is important to work with someone that is familiar with your specific marketplace and the industry requirements in that marketplace. Additionaly, working with a company that offers a wide range of mortgage products, such as FHA and Jumbo loans as well Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac programs.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
I believe that the mortgage process requires tremendous communication between the loan originator and the customer. Without that communication, a customer will find the process to be difficult and hard to navigate thru. I work closely with my clients and am accessible via all communication mediums in order to be there to answer questions and provide guidance.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I grew up North of Chicago. I am married with 3 great kids, and now reside in the Western Suburbs. I was a long time resident of the City of Chicago and am an experienced real estate investor, landlord and home owner.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Along with being in the mortgage business, I spend free time working on carpentry and word working projects. More than all, I enjoy spending as much time with my wife and kids.
