Chris Wilno’s mission of hope was born out of terrible tragedy. Within a 15-month period beginning in late 2002, Chris’ father was diagnosed with Leukemia, his daughter Isabella passed away at birth, his father lost his battle with leukemia and his wife was diagnosed with cancer while pregnant with their son.
Chris, a VP of Mortgage Lending out of our Norco, CA branch, responded by dedicating his life to fighting cancer. He participates in endurance sports while raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and has coached hundreds of others to do the same. Each week, Chris dedicates at least 15-20 hours to the organization via coaching and/or training. In 2014, he founded We Will Find a Cure after being chosen by LLS to participate in their Man of the Year campaign. On October 14, 2017, he represented LLS in the Ironman World Championship race in Kona, Hawaii. He trained six days a week leading up to the race, often late at night so he could still spend time with his family. To date, Chris has raised over $375,000 for LLS and continues to inspire and coach others to do the same.
