About Ramon

My introduction into mortgages and real estate began over 12 years ago when an injury caused me to change carreers from a manager at a retail home improvement chain to where I am today. But it is much the same, it's a business of customer service and delivering on a promise. My approach to mortgage lending is a consultative process. I believe that it is my responsibility to give my clients all the viable options to their mortgage loan and guide them to the best possible solution. I give into the mantra that each transaction is an opportunity to build a relationship with my client as well as to the other parties of the transaction. Be it the listing agent, escrow, title, etc. to get to the ultimate goal of a closed escrow and a satisfied client. You can get a loan anywhere but with me you will get an exceptional mortgage experience that you can brag about.

A little about me and my family. I am a father of two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, and a husband to my wonderful wife of 21 years. We reside in southern California and love to experience new things. We attend all kinds of festivals and events and share a love of great food. We also enjoy Polynesian & Tiki Pop culture of the present and past.

Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
I can honestly say that I do not have a typical customer that each customer is unique in their needs and to what is important to them. My job is to actively listen and tailor a program for them and their situation. Questions I do commonly receive are: How much do I need for down payment? Do I need to pay off my credit cards? What FICO score do I need to purchase a home?
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
The advice I would give new or first time home buyers is to take each day in stride and to look at your Mortgage Professional and Realtor as your pilot and co-pilot. Just as a airline pilot has your best interest to get you safely to your destination on time. You might think I don't see what the pilot does directly during the flight but you do see the effects and the arrival. Now you might be thinking my job isn't quite the same as the airline pilot; but maybe it isn't all that different either. While I manage the routine parts of your Mortgage Real Estate transaction, if and when needed, I am a problem solver of the highest degree. In a typical Mortgage Real Estate transaction, Iým at work behind the scenes keeping things running smoothly. Youýd be surprised how many times I have to call the other listing agent or title or someone else to make sure they didnýt forget to pay attention to what theyýre supposed to be doing for you. At other times Iýll be moving paperwork back and forth between people to make sure your realtor has everything they need or for inspections or for lots of other reasons. If a challenge arises, that is when I am ready to go into emergency mode, just like an airline pilot and trust that we will get you to your final destination, the destination of homeownership.

What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
The most satisfaction I recieve my from my job is seeing the smile on my clients faces when they recieve the keys to thier home.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I love collecting vintage tiki and mid century memorablia and attending Polynesian Tiki Pop conventions. I visit flea markets, thrifting and yard sales to find these treasures in the wild. There's nothing like a great tiki bar to hang out and enjoy the company of friends. I also make a excellent Mai Tai and Painkiller tiki cocktail.
