Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical clients are highly educated. They are experts in their field, but they aren’t experts in home buying or mortgage lending. They were referred to me because they are looking for honest, expert advice on the best way to execute their home buying plans, with the least amount of stress possible, at highly competitive interest rates, with a lender they trust will get it done for them at the promised terms.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
I was personally ranked a Top 1% Mortgage Originator in America by Mortgage Executive Magazine for 2014 and 2015. I was also a voted Cincinnati Five Star Mortgage Professional in 2014 and 2015. Per Scotsman Guide, I was ranked #208 in Homebuyer Purchases in 2015.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Conventional 30 year fixed mortgage with 5% down payment and no monthly PMI. It often offers the lowest fixed monthly payment with the highest tax advantages.
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
During the ten years that I have been in the mortgage industry, I have been privileged to receive multiple accolades. From 2011 to the present, each year I have been ranked as one of the Top 1% of Mortgage Originators in America. In addition, I have also qualified as one of the Top 500 Mortgage Originators in the country in 2015 and have been recognized as a Five Star Mortgage Professional by Cincinnati Magazine since 2010. My success is based off providing the highest level of expertise and confidence in what I do. From past clients that continue to use my services to my business partners that refer me, there is no question that I will get my customer the best rate available.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
Clients have a time getting reliable answers to questions like “How much down payment do I need?” “What is a good credit score?” “How much home can I afford?” I not only give my clients clear answers to these questions, but I explain the technical factors and the driving forces behind the answers, so they can make an educated decision as to what is best for them.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Doing a great job for clients, and hearing them tell stories after closing about how much they are enjoying the house and all of the projects they are working on.
