Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a first time homebuyer. They have many questions; such as how much are the closing costs, how much of a down payment do I need, and how much can I afford. I also have customers from the North Shore of Long Island that need JUMBO mortgages, which I have many different products for with low rates.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
I have many self employed borrowers. They are not aware that there is a stated income check program that would help them obtain a mortgage.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
They must send me back a very organized mortgage package with exactly what I asked for and write an email if for any reason they could not get a document and why.
Are you active in any local associations or community groups, and at what level? What goals and/or success have you helped these groups achieve?
