What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
By actively listening to my customers, I’m able to better help with their mortgage needs. I work with my customers to structure their mortgage with all their personal and/or business financial obligations in mind. I will go through the mortgage process in detail so that they are educated on their various options available. By helping clients see their options, they will make educated decisions regarding their mortgage.
What are the pros and cons of a fixed rate mortgage versus an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM)?
The low initial cost of adjustable rate mortgages, or ARMS, can be very tempting to first time homebuyers, yet they carry a degree of uncertainty. Fixed rate mortgages offer rate and payment security, but they can be more expensive. With the right information, whether it is to refinance or a new home purchase, I can help my customers pick the mortgage that best meets their financial goals.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
The most common concern during the home loan process is reviewing the final Closing Disclosure. Understanding escrows for taxes and credits from the sellers can be confusing for anyone from first time buyers to experienced homeowners that are refinancing for the third time. I go over the CD with my clients on purchases and refinances item by item before closing. I patiently answer any questions they may have until they fully understand.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I grew up on the north side of Chicago with my parents and two brothers. I graduated from AON Corp's internship program and was a corporate licensing specialist and held various management positions over seven years. I started in the mortgage industry twenty years ago, and have been involved in many aspects, including working with investors. Most of my mortgage clients live in Chicago and its collar counties, such as Lincoln Park and the North Shore. I reside in the northern suburbs with my husband and three children. I am able to help clients with their mortgage questions or needs nationwide.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Along with being a mortgage loan officer, I like lounging at my pool, going to my children baseball, cheerleading, and basketball games. I love to watch football and play golf with my husband and son. I belong to the BNI chapter of networkers plus and Lake County Women\'s Business Network Group. My goal for myself is to help my family, friends, and clients achieve their home ownership dreams.
