Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a first time home-buyer. The first question they always ask is do I qualify and how much do I qualify for. I love this question because it shows me they are serious about proceeding in the purchase process and creates urgency for them to start building equity when they usually are currently renting.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
FHA loans for with the 3.5% minimum down payment. Most borrowers I speak with either think they have to put down 20% down in order to get a loan
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
Getting supporting Documents back within 24 hours to insure to get the wheels of the underwriting process turning immediately.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I grew up in Long Grove, IL in a family that was very involved in the wedding industry. Other than a couples wedding buying a home is huge life milestone that is very rewarding to be a part of. I went to Adlai E Stevenson High-school and then on to University of Iowa for undergrad.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I love horse racing. My whole life my father used to take me to the racetrack to learn about horses and the business behind it. Showing that making a small investment could always return in a very large way as long as you follow your gut and surround yourself with the right people.
