About Amy

I started my career in the mortgage industry in 2003. As a processor, I would always see happy faces coming out of the conference room after a closing, which inspired me to become an originator in 2005. The mortgage industry has changed quite a bit over the years, as there are many rules and regulations that need to be followed, but as a seasoned loan originator, I will provide the education and guidance you need and the attention you deserve to help you meet your personal home financing goals. The mortgage process is a very exciting one, but can also provide challenges. The easiest way to get from application to closing in a timely manner is with open lines of communication with all parties involved. Quick responses to questions and requests for required documentation will help keep the process moving forward and get you to the closing table on time. How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I got my first taste of the mortgage industry when I was a processor over at Wells Fargo while I was finishing up my last few years of college. I kept seeing people walk into the conference room nervous but then walking out with huge smiles and that inspired me to be on that end of the transaction and help people achive their dreams of home ownership.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
This is a daunting process and it really isn't as overwhelming as it seems. I feel that the best advice to give to first time home buyers is that you need to determine your long term vs short term goals. More than likely your first home isn't your FOREVER home and this will differentiate how a loan officer will get you qualified and put you into the best program for your situation. Perhaps an ARM is better than a Fixed rate or maybe you obtain a larger lender credit vs paying points. Collectively with that information, you can make a decision with all your options layed out and pick one that suits you best.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
I feel with any type of relationship it's communication. Loan officers need to lay out expectations and be transparent. Any questions or concrens should be addressed up front and can be tackled before the 11th hour, also providing documents in a timely fashion. This will insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
When Iým not assisting with mortgages I enjoy playing soccer and discovering the newest eatery or cuisine. I'm such a foodie and trying to recreate dishes is always a welcomed challenge.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I can paint nails really well and I find it extreamly relaxing however painting my own nails is slightly stressful.
