Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is driven to get things done! I’ve been lucky to work with people who care as much as I do about quality and efficiency of process.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I like to dig deep! Every person’s situation is unique and the reason my borrowers love working with me is because I take the time to understand what they need in a mortgage and deliver the most beneficial product.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
If you’re not sure about something, don’t be afraid to ask questions! I take a lot of pride in the level of education my customers come out with on the other side of the mortgage process.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Lender Paid Mortgage Insurance is incredible. Putting less than 20% down and want to knock that pesky $100+ mortgage insurance fee off of your monthly payment? Please ask me about this rare program!
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
Efficiency is everything! Receiving documents back on day one can take fifteen days off the total process.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
At the end of the day, I’m in the service industry. Whether it’s putting a young couple into their first home or refinancing a freshly retired homeowner with a fixed income, this business is all about people! Nothing could be more satisfying than providing the wonderful people I’ve been lucky enough to work with a new start.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
For a brief stint, I was the University of Kentucky Wildcat mascot. I’ve had some pretty lively (but mostly civil) debates with my borrowers about college basketball!
