When Cory graduated college with a Bachelor’s in Finance he was fortunate enough to already have a well laid path for what his next steps in the professional world were going to be. Cory’s mother was part owner of a Real Estate office for the last 25 years, and directed Cory to a close contact of hers in the mortgage industry. It didn’t take long for him to realize that this was where he was meant to be. Thirteen years later and the rest is history. Cory now takes with him into the office the same passion he found those thirteen years ago.
Cory comes to Guaranteed Rate with a strong background in business, attending Western Michigan University and graduating with a BA in business and finance. As a professional he aims to create lifelong clients by setting a standard of outstanding service, and working to exceed expectations. It is this strong work ethic and attention to detail that has elevated him as a loan officer since he graduated and went straight to work.
Cory has gained much accolade and accomplishment through his career. While at Countrywide he made the Platinum Circle of Excellence, making it into the top 2% of the company. Moving to Bank of America he attained Platinum Club. And at Wells Fargo he was able to seize the Chairman’s Club. Now at Guaranteed Rate he aims to achieve the same kind of praise that highlight his personal goals of excellence and customer satisfaction.
It is Cory’s unique process that sets him apart. His complete knowledge of available mortgage products and ability to educate and guide clients through making the best decision is a major reason Cory continues to excel in an ever changing market. Every client is different, and Cory works diligently to cater to their own personal financial needs. There is no cookie cutter solution, and every client needs to be matched with the correct product for them. Cory fights to get clients what they deserve and tries to make the entire process as seamless and enjoyable as possible. To arrive at the appropriate solution for the client, Cory creates a personal needs analysis to understand what is important to the home buyer, and evaluate what their current financial situation is. From here he can make accurate and appropriate recommendations that will accommodate the client’s best interest.

In Cory’s own life he enjoys staying active and spending family time with his wife and kids.
