The home buying process is not a pleasant, but your straight forwardness, honesty, and humor did a lot to make us feel confident in our desire to buy this home. You more than exceeded our expectations. We also appreciated your ability to make us feel like we were the only client you were working with during that time. We just like to take a moment to thank you for all the time, effort and care you took in helping us obtain our first mortgage. We’re adding an additional $250 to our payment. We are taking your advice and paying off our mortgage soon. We love the book Rich Dad Poor Dad you gave us and putting to use some of the techniques they describe. Were really excited about our future. Look forward to working with you in the future.

About David

I got into the mortgage business in 1991 and have love what I do. Helping people structure the loan, orchestrating all the details into a memorable closing. I was told people getting a mortgage have a higher stress level than an astronaut on the launch pad. I believe that's caused by feeling out of control and lack of feedback. Many things I do is to make you feel more in control and give you up to date detail about the status of your loan. I went to WMU and have a BBA in Corporate Finance and Securities and a couple classes away from an Automotive Engineering degree. While there I was an accounting tutor and president of the Mechanical Engineering Society. Below are some noteworthy stats: ý Mortgage Loan Originator for 22+ years serving the West Michigan Area. ý I have helped 2000+ clients purchase homes. ý 95% of my business is referred to me by Referral Partners, Current Clients, Friends and Family. ý 96% Client Satisfaction Ratio What you can expect from my team: ý 100% Honesty and Transparency. ý Closing Loans on time!!!! ý Communication how and when you want it, not when we feel you should receive it. ý World Class Service! We will provide a Limousine Ride for a Taxi Cab price. ý Low Interest Rates and Closing Costs ý Up to the minute Information and Loan Status ý The best technology available ý Access to more programs than other lenders.

David interview Q&A

Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
I don't have a typical customer, I've helped everyone from a CEO to the first time home buyer. Their questions differ, the $350 and up just want it done with little fan fare, the first time home buyer wants to know how much they qualify for and how are we going to find the money for closing.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
Asking questions, how long will you be in the home, how much do you have to put into buying a home, where do you want to live, sometimes I need to know how much they make to determine whether they qualify for certain loans.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
23 years, I was the Number one loan officer in the state of Michigan for approx 2 years for the largest originator of loans, the award was called Top Gun.
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
Much has changed in the mortgage industry since 1991. All loan applications were taken by hand, the credit report would be back with a week and it took 45-60 days to close a loan. Going forward, I can see the industry becoming more streamlined, but the more regulated it becomes the more you will still need loan officers.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
Getting all the documentation up front the first time around. That is the most difficult and the most critical for a fast, clean closing. Buyers don't like to be asked for one bank stmt then the following week being asked for a W-2......That's why its critical to communicate all the docs that are needed up front.
Are you active in any local associations or community groups, and at what level? What goals and/or success have you helped these groups achieve?
I've worked in the executive committee for the 28th St Metro Cruise. The turnout was great 250,000 people and 13,000 cars over 2 days. What great trip down memory lane as the cars pass by. I was also involved in the Kentwood Rotary, raising money for the Millenium Park Grand Rapids, and many water projects in 3rd world countries.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I make Bio-Diesel for my diesel benz and I have built an AC Cobra
