How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the mortgage business since November 2015. I decided to move to the mortgage business because I was personally affected by the events that came to light in 2008. I decided that I want to originate mortgages the right way and help people purchase homes comfortably and confidently. It makes me feel great when I can help someone close on their new dream home.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
My best advice for first time home buyers is have your documents ready and be upfront, honest and transparent. In order for a MLO to provide the best possible service for the borrower, the sooner we know the details of the loan the smoother it will go for everyone involved. There is no reason to keep things from us because we will always verify and find out anyway.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
Customers usually find that addressing the underwriting conditions can be stressful, redundant and rushed. I try to address this from the beginning and let them know that more than likely I will be asking for updated documents and I need them as quickly as possible to keep us on schedule.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I get the most satisfaction as a loan officer when I get to share in the joy of a homeowner closing on their new home.
