I ask each customer a series of questions that will help determine the best loan for them:
How long do you plan to own this home?
Will you keep this home as an investment property?
What is most important to you? lowest monthly payment, lowest rate, or term of loan?
How much money are you comfortable bringing to the closing table for down payment, escrows and closing costs?
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Freddie Mac Double Match 30 year fixed. The program is available nationally and consists of a 2% non-repayable grant from Guaranteed Rate. All 1-unit property types are eligible and you only need 1% of the total purchase price for the down payment from the borrower’s own funds.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
It is very important to upload all supporting documents when they are asked for into TransferSafe ASAP. TransferSafe is Guaranteed Rate’s secure document transfer website. As soon as a customer uploads a document we can review it to make sure there are not more supporting documents needed and it will not hold up the processing time.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, in Green Tree Borough. I graduated from Duquesne University in 2003 and have lived in Pittsburgh my whole life. I travel as much as possible and enjoy experiencing as many new cities, states and countries as I can, but I am always happy to come back to the Burgh!
