My approach to lending is simple and follows what I believe is Guaranteed Rate’s most important core value: Put the Customer First.
Most have heard of the Golden Rule, and in that spirit, I treat every single one of my borrowers as I would want my parents to be treated. My parents came from a limited educational background, and when I was growing up, they fell upon certain hardships based on information from financial professionals that seemed to put their own interests first. I made it a point to never misguide anyone who has taken the leap of faith of acting on my recommendations.
When I have a borrower, I am very thorough, so that I can be sure I am providing them with the absolute best combination of programs and pricing we can offer. I also take the time to understand what their goals are and what their lives may look like a few years down the road. I want to give them recommendations that make sense. Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions someone can make, and I want them to be able to utilize this investment to create opportunities that can help them achieve financial security for themselves and their loved ones.
Like most people, I want to make a positive impact on the world, and I feel like I do that every time I help someone finance the home of their dreams. When someone decides to work with me, I express my tremendous gratitude by ensuring their experience is quick and easy, as this allows them to focus on the more important things in life, like friends and family. My borrowers trust that I will get their loans done, and I do. I know I have serviced my borrower to the best of my ability when I receive referrals from them, and these referrals have been the main driver of my success, and the success of Guaranteed Rate as an organization.
When someone asks me what I do for a living, I don’t tell them I am a Mortgage Specialist. I tell them I help people achieve their goals by utilizing my knowledge of mortgage financing.
On a less professional note, I enjoy spending my free time riding my bike down Lake Shore Drive, working out, reading books (thrillers and biographies, to name a few genres), watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, and constantly finding ways to learn and experience new things.
