Every client of mine is different - some are first time home buyers who have lots of questions to the million dollar plus customers. One item they share is they want the best rate possible & communication. I'm always accessible!
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Everybody thinks if you put less than 20% down you have to pay PMI (private mortgage insurance). Not true. We can do an LPMI (Lender Paid Mortgage Insurance) loan where there is no PMI. The rate is about a .25% higher but the monthly payment is lower.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
Check your credit score before you start the process & get organized! It's best to call me 2-3 months before you start to look for a house. There are things we can do help you get the lowest rate possible and that's by checking your FICO score.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
When we have time we like to go to Florida and re-charge our batteries. We have two children who both are getting married this year so it's going to be a great 2016!
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Being a child of the 60s & 70s, we grew up listening to vinyl records. Now they are making a comeback & I still have most of mine. Some of the best ones are even framed and an entire wall in my office is filled with all original Beatles albums. I haven have an original Marantz receiver so don't be surprised if you hear the Beatles playing in the background!
