How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
Been in the mortgage industry since 1993. Have been a President's Club loan officer every year since 2007. I also served on a national advisory board of top loan officers while at a previous company from 2011-2015.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
People tend to ask how much they qualify for when purchasing a home for a first time. I always educate them to work backwards and figure what they are comfortable with more so. I want a first time home buyer to be able to sleep comfortably at night, maintain their current lifestyle and not worry about mortgage payments.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
I think that people don't understand how much detail goes into mortgage financing. I always work with my clients to set realistic expectations up front and guide them through the process until the very end.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I always love the opportunity to provide a service to people who are making the greatest purchase of their lives. For me it's a lot of fun building a bond with them.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I am a music geek. I love all sorts of types of music, but especially love British music of the late Seventies through the 1980s. I have a large music collection which includes approximately a 6000 vinyl record collection that I started in 1978 with Olivia Newton John's "Totally Hot!" and Andy Gibb's "Shadow Dancing". I also enjoy going to see a lot of live music.
