Those that know me, know I am happiest and the most passionate about assisting others around me with achieving their goals and reaching for new levels of their personal bests.

For the last 17 years, I have been in the Mortgage lending industry. I have originated over 760M dollars in mortgage in loans. I have held management positions at JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America. While at JP Morgan, I achieved Leader's club for 5 consecutive years and became one of the youngest branch vice presidents in company history with annual personal production over 80M.

From the first day I went into business as a financial strategist, my primary focus has been creating extreme value for all I serve. The mortgage process requires commitment, attention to detail, patience, and perhaps most importantly, customer service. That's the primary reason why I have earned the very prestigious designations of CMP (Certified Mortgage Planner), CMPS (Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist), CMA (Certified Mortgage Advisor), CLA summa cum laude (Certified Liabilities Advisor) and T.E.A.M (The Equity Alliance Matrix). I am also a published co- author of the book Borrow Smart Retire Rich written by Todd Ballenger. My responsibility is to ensure that my clients get the best mortgage for their particular situation. Unlike an 800 number call center, which may be a thousand miles away, I am a local Pacific Northwest Lender.

We price a mortgage by searching America's top banks and mortgage companies for the best mortgage product and pricing possible for our customers. As America's 8th largest lender and an elite premier direct lender, we then process, underwrite, and close the mortgage with our money, not having to rely on other banks' service platforms, which means we have total control of the mortgage from beginning to end. Making just one call to us is the equivalent of having made 15 to 20 calls to various mortgage companies.

How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the mortgage and financial services industry for 18 years and I am inspired to help as many people as I can with my time on this planet.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a human being that has a need that I can assist with filling.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I take the time to listen and to ask the proper questions to ensure that I am using my years of financial experience to serve those in need at my highest and best.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
I have been in the mortgage and financial services industry for 18 years.
What are the pros and cons of a fixed rate mortgage versus an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM)?
I don't believe there are any pros and/or cons to a fixed rate mortgage versus an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM), in my opinion it solely depends on what the clients specific goals are and what they want to achieve. The client's goals will decide what the mortgage solution will be for the client. I am here as a experienced seasoned guide.
Tell us about a specific challenging borrowing situation and how you got the mortgage closed and funded.
I have a client that is a special forces military active duty veteran and he disclosed to me early on the mortgage process that he could get called away for a special mission on a 24hrs notice with no expectation of a return date. He said, it was also likely that he wouldn't have any communication capabilities while he was away. So armed with these possibilities, I proceeded to fast track his mortgage approval, prepare a specific power of attorney and have all of his funds wired to the escrow provider as soon as possible. Doing this I would be prepared for his quick departure and unknown return. Shortly after getting all of this set up, he was called over seas on the day he accepted an offer on his new home. He left to serve his country and I served him by getting his mortgage closed early and by arranging for his belongings to be moved in and put away for him so when he returned everything would be in order. It was an honor to serve him!
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
The advice I give to first time homebuyers is to save money for a downpayment and to buy within their means.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Today's mortgage industry is highly regulated and is a government controlled industry. I am not aware of a unique and/or exotic mortgage product available.
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
The mortgage industry changes everyday from its products to its pricing and its regulatory policies and procedures. I suspect with all of the financial reform that the regulators and the politicians invent, they will continue to burden America with overzealous mortgage oversight and regulation.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
Most people take on the mortgage process 4-7 times in their life, I have taken it on 1,000's and 1,000's of times. I guide all of my clients through every step and every through pitfall and/or challenge.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
Most people think that the mortgage process is not that fun and enjoyable as it can and should be. It is an exciting time in one's life! When clients choose to work with a seasoned mortgage professional, it makes all the difference with regard to the outcome.
