What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I provide a detailed Total Cost Analysis that shows various products side by side so that the client can make a quick and educated decision.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
1. I have been in the business for 12 years. Recently I was awarded a Five Star Professional Award that will be featured in the upcoming issue of Philadelphia Magazine. The award is based on a survey that was sent out to buyers, realtors, title agents, and other people in the industry who rated their experience working with me. I believe this award is only being presented to about 7% of the current sales force in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
That they are probably in better shape than they think. A lot of would be first time home buyers do not think they can qualify for a loan and that is simply not the case. Lots of programs out there that can help someone buy a home.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
The ebooks that we all have on our websites especially "Demistifying the Loan Process" is a great resource.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
3. Have your documents in order. Also be prepared to explain anything that would seem out of the ordinary. That includes any unexplained deposits into your bank accounts and transfers from one account to the next.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
4. I grew up in Saratoga Springs NY. My family stretches clear across the country from Atlanta to Santa Fe NM, to San Francisco, to Portland and back to Philadelphia where my wife Amie and Sophia have lived since 2006.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
My wife Amie and I moved to Philadelphia in 2006 and along with our daughter Sophia love everything the city has to offer. Also a big golf nut.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I am a big golf enthusiast and part of 40 guys who get together every May for a few days of golf. Each year is in a different location.
