What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
Typically, I start by asking a customer what goals they wish to achieve. From there I will ask them if they are open to other possibilities. This can sometimes lead to a client receiving a better mortgage than they originally planned on obtaining. I recently saved a client roughly $100,000 by providing him with a cash out loan for a shorter term.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Consumers should always ask about State sponsored programs. MassHousing can often times provide the lowest rate and best fit for clients. This applies to both purchase and refinance transactions plus first time and non first time homebuyers.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
I suggest that borrowers always disclose everything regarding their application. The details are important. In addition, clients should be prepared by having all of their financial documents organized and available.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I am a family man! I love spending time with my family when I am not working. When I was a kid we all used to go to my Grandparent's house for Sunday dinner. I loved seeing all of my Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. That tradition continues as my family now spends every Sunday at my parent's house.

I spent over a year of my life in England as a child.
