About Lori

Lori Neuhauser began her career in the mortgage industry in 1996, and is proud to have only worked with 4 lenders over the course of over 20 plus years in the business. Previously, she was an internal auditor for a Fortune 500 company. This past experience helped develop her attention to detail which carries through to her thoroughness in heading up the loan process.

With an insight into the local market & the process of qualifying for a loan in these changing times, Lori is sensitive to the different requirements of homebuyers and works to ensure that each mortgage product fits her clients’ short & long-term goals. She believes that every client & every business partner deserves a top- notch experience which includes reliable, hands-on, personalized attention, delivered with the highest degree of customer service.

Lori was born in Somerville NJ, and is proud to be raising her son in the same community. She has taken on leadership roles in Cub Scouts, as well as contributing to her community through volunteer work. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelors of Arts degree in English from Rutgers University.

How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the mortgage industry for 15 years originating loans. I was already in the finance industry when I decided to go into the mortgage field. I had just purchased my first home & personally experienced the process. I happened to run into the bank president & we began discussing the mortgage process-- the good parts & the not so good parts. He appreciated my feedback and thought the mortgage industry would be a good fit for me.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
The home buying process can be frustrating at times. It takes patience and a good pilot to navigate the system. Expect that you will be asked to gather documents and answer questions. To make the process less stressful, it is important to act in a timely manner. The quicker you can respond, the smoother the process goes. I am here to answer all your questions & help guide you through the steps.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
Most of my customers mention the amount of paperwork and questions that need to be addressed. To make the process smoother I request the documents needed up front, at the pre qualification stage. The sooner I have documents, the easier it is for me to determine and hopefully avoid, any bumps in the road. The more I know, the more accurately I can discuss the terms of the loan that my client is qualified to receive.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
When I am not working I spend time with my son. He is quite active- football, baseball, and soccer. We are both Disney fanatics and love the Jersey shore. My free time is typically spent working out
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Way before I started in the mortgage business I spent time managing and booking comedians & even MC\'d some comedy shows. I still enjoy going to comedy shows-- even though I must have seen thousands by now.
