In my personal time, I am blessed to be married to my best friend in the world, and share 3 beautiful children with her. Love to spend time with them and watch each one of them grow to be amazing individuals. We enjoy taking short trips to Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz and Fort Bragg. How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been honored to be a part of the Mortgage Finance business since 2002 and have never looked back. I took a major leap of faith from telecommunications to dive into a Mortgage Lender roll at a small branch were I grew up in Yuba City, CA.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is the one that believes in the full service relationship of Lender/Agent/Client. We become a great team together during the purchase or refinance transaction and are in faith that they can always rely on me to be there for them no matter what. Most of my clients really want to know when a great time to start their packing and ordering their movers. I will typically discuss with them their perfect timeline and will format the closing around that within the contract dates.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I ask a series of initial pre-approval questions from what their future plans such as length of time in the home to age of kids and future downsizing and relocation to a smaller/bigger home. Every one of my clients has a unique story to tell about their lives and what they ultimately plan to do, and its up to me to present them with all the best options they can choose to give them the best possible platform for the next chapter of their life.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
I Always recommended to sit down and meet with a lender face to face and be sure to get the full service treatment regardless if you are ready to buy now or in the future. I take the time upfront to review credit to analyze each trade line and see what possible improvements can be made to get the best rate you can possibly qualify for.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I always tell myself that its not the size of the loan the buyer is requesting....its the size of the smile on their face when it's completed. More often than not...this is the biggest purchase decision of their lives from 100k to 2 million.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Something funny about myself is that I once ate a half gallon of Ice Cream in less than 3 minutes. It was pretty messy but I was able to make it happen : )
