I began my mortgage career in 1994 as a loan originator. I worked for 2 years and left the industry for another opportunity. Rather than finance homes for clients, I chose to build them and worked as a rough framing carpenter for 10 years. As time wore on, the physical nature of home building began taking its toll and an opportunity to return to the world of origination presented itself and I have been working in our industry ever since. As it was while I was building homes, I really enjoy the aspect of working for my clients to get them into the home of their dreams. I attended the University of Illinois and studied Speech/Communications; a skill absolutely essential in working with clients. In the climate nowadays that is much more complex, it's paramount to be able to convey clearly to clients the needs and expectations of an ever changing industry and how it effects them. My wife and I live in the south suburbs with our daughter. I'm a huge sports fan and like many other men my age, love playing golf but I'll never earn a paycheck for my efforts on the links. I'm also an award winning humor writer in my spare time and had a humor column in our local paper for 6 years. I continue to write and eventually will be piecing together my first book.
