How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
When I was 20 years old I saw the joy my sister had when she purchased her first home. That image left a lasting impression on me and fueled my desire to pursue a career in home finance.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical client would be someone who deserves a better rate on their existing mortgage or would like to pursue a new, second home or investment property.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
Our initial strategic session will allow me to discover short, long term goals as well as general vision for the home. Programs are chosen based on the facts discovered within this call.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
After nearly a decade as a home finance advisor I have received many thank you cards as well as thank you gifts from happy clients.
What are the pros and cons of a fixed rate mortgage versus an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM)?
Fixed rate mortgages are often chosen for their reliability and the peace of mind it gives a client without adjustment. Adjustable Rate Mortgages are chosen most often from investors who wish to fix and flip a property. The lower the term the better the rate is most common.
Tell us about a specific challenging borrowing situation and how you got the mortgage closed and funded.
One of the most challenging scenario I have had recently was to get a 125 unit condominium complex FHA approved to qualify the borrower who only had 3.5% to put down. My team and I were able to get the complex approved and delivered as promised.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
Take your time. Never feel rushed. Get Prequalified earlier in the process than later to establish a budget and negotiate with confidence. Discover what qualities of a home and neighborhood are important to you before viewing open houses.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
I am proud to offer my current and future clients VA, FHA, USDA, 30,25,20,15,10,4 and 2 year fixed options as well as 3,5,7,10,15 year Adjustable rate programs.
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
The home finance industry has changed quite a bit since I have started. It became laborious for a bit but has recently been refined with our state of the art digital mortgage.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
The underwriting process is ensured to be smooth with our thoroughness up front. Keeping open lines of communication throughout is essential to keeping the process seamless from start to finish.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
In my spare time I enjoy anything by the ocean. Kayaking, hiking and fishing allow me to relax and rejuvenate to refresh myself for the next weeks activity.

Every opportunity I have, I enjoy having a positive impact on the people I come in contact with. Making people laugh is something I enjoy. I enjoy it so much I have started to pursue stand up comedy to have more opportunities.
