How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the mortgage industry for 17 years. I enjoy finance and the sharing of knowledge that allows people to take hold of their financial lives
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
Tell us about a specific challenging borrowing situation and how you got the mortgage closed and funded.
Recently, a client of mine had 550 credit. I looked at what they needed to do to produce them to a credit score of 640. By my estimates, they would be able to purchase in 6 months and their credit score would be 648. I hit the first, credit score went to 642. And, they were able to purchase.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
I like to meet. And, after we spend a little time together, I make a list of the items I need in order to make informed decisions. Documents can be faxed, dropped off, emailed, or sent through our secure transfer site. It is always important to produce any additional information required when requested and it is rare when additional information is not needed at some point in the mortgage process. We need to communicate effectively throughout the process.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I enjoy big trees, clean water, and gardening. That is when I feel most alive.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
It is my belief that when people meet me they see a person of substance and depth.
