How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the mortgage business for 15 years. The reason I enjoy my job is because I am able to help people obtain their dreams of home ownership and to help them save when it's time to refinance so their hard earned money can be put to a better use.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is someone looking to work with a mortgage expert who has the experience to answer any questions they may have.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I listen to the needs of my customers and what their goals are. With this information, I offer my suggestions on the mortgage loans that fit the objectives they are looking for.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
I have been in the mortgage business and have consistently been a Top Producer for the few companies I have worked for.
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
The mortgage industry has changed dramatically over the last 15 years. We started out taking loan applications by hand. Today, most of the mortgage process is done online. From signing your Loan Application to uploading the documents needed to process and close your loan.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
The mortgage process takes good communication and cooperation between the mortgage company and the customer. Understanding what is expected from day one and working together over the course of the mortgage process will ensure not only a smooth underwriting but a smooth mortgage closing.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Seeing first time home buyers realize the dream of home ownership along with helping homeowners save money by refinancing their existing homes or investment properties.
