About Nolan

I have been in the Real Estate business since 2007. I have always been interested in helping people realize the dream of home ownership and that is the main reason why I entered the market. I majored in Business Management at Utah Valley University which has assisted in the development of my network and in assisting clients achieve their goals. I have been married for 16 years and have 4 children... 2 boys, 2 girls. My youngest daughter was born with Down Syndrome and is the happiest kid you will ever meet.

How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the Real Estate business since 2007 and became a licensed loan officer in 2015. I enjoy the negotiations involved in Real Estate as well has seeing people achieve their goals with regard to owning a home or investing.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a conventional or Jumbo loan buyer. The main questions that I get from clients are what products will get them the best rate with the down payment and income that they provide.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I ask a lot of questions. I want to get the full story so that we can match them with the correct product to meet the individual needs of the client.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
My advice to a First Time Buyer is to know your Credit Score, your Debt Load, and what your Income level can afford. With Home Loans the devil is in the details and knowing those details before you shop will create a more realistic and enjoyable Home Buying experience... Know what you can afford and get excited about the homes in your price range!
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. You need to have 20% Down payment. 2. W2 income, Self Employment Income, and Commission Income are all equal. 3. 30 Year Conventional Loans are the only way to get the best deal on a loan.
Are you active in any fundraising organizations? What goals and/or success have you helped them achieve?
My 4 Year Old Daughter was born with Down Syndrome... This opened up the opportunity to be involved with The Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas. Each Year there are several events, but the biggest is called The Buddy Walk. It has been a great experience attending and raising money for this great cause. I would recommend to anyone to attend the walk, it is an eye opener to the possibilities presented through a disability. The happiness that these kids have is inspiring...
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Probably the craziest thing about me is that my youngest daughter was born in the car. My wife went into labor rather quickly and I drove fast enough to make it to the Hospital, but not fast enough to make it into the hospital. Avery was delivered by the Life Flight Nurses in our Honda Pilot...
