Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a First Time Home-buyer. They don’t have any typical questions that are recurring, but I do always set up a first time purchase consult for each of my clients to make sure any questions they may have are answered.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
Do not be fooled by internet lenders offering lower rates than the rest of the market. Most of the time, these lenders are not able to meet expectations of clients and can cause major delay. Use a local professional to handle this transaction.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
Some of the most common misconceptions are that if you do not have 20% down, with a 740 plus credit score and at least 2 years on the same job that one would not qualify for a loan. This is completely untrue. Working with a direct lender gives a home buyer a plethora of options.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
My job is not the prettiest, the easiest, or the most desirable. I can say that after over a decade in the industry. What makes everything completely worth it is the smiles that I see at the closing table. There’s simply nothing better than seeing all the effort come together to a deserving family.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I was originally going to be a pharmacist when I graduated high school. I thought I was good at science, but after doing mortgages for a month or two I realized I was really good at math.
