About Renuka

I have over 16 years of experience in mortgage origination as an independent broker as well as part of a larger company, such as Guaranteed Rate. I have experience in various types of loans and am well versed in most lender guidelines. What I love about this business is the ability to work with many different clients with various backgrounds and needs. I truly enjoy making the home buying process very easy and pleasant for my clients.

I come from a highly educated family and have 4 siblings who are medical doctors. I decided to do something different and went into the areas of marketing and finance. I have 2 master's degrees, one in English literature and the second one in business administration with an emphasis on finance and marketing. I have worked in larger corporations in marketing, strategic planning and finance. This education and experience allows me to interact with and relate to professionals in many different walks of life and have many repeat clients. I am grateful for the support and confidence of my current and past clients and I have been able to help many friend and family of my current clients with excellent mortgage solutions.

I live in Beaverton with my wonderful and upbeat husband, who is one of the top agents at Re/Max, and our German Shepherd, Blazer, who is a wonderful part of our family. Our daughter, Nalina is currently working in London and our son Ojes, is a college student finishing his Business Information Systems Degree at Oregon State University.

How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
16 years. My husband, who is a top agent with Re/Max inspired me to get into this business.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a high tech professional and they have excellent finances and credit scores, but I have also had many different types of customers with various other backgrounds.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I am responsible for educating clients specific to the loan process and programs that best align with their goals. I provide high levels of service and expertise to clients, managing financial transactions and processes from beginning to end.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
16 + Years.
What are the pros and cons of a fixed rate mortgage versus an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM)?
Fixed rate: Pro Adjustable rate: Con Fixed rate: Slightly higher rate than adjustable Adjustable: Slightly lower rates than the fixed rate.
What can borrowers do to insure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
Stay in contact with the mortgage professional and give all the paperwork needed for underwriting.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
