How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the business for close to 14 years now. My mother actually introduced me to the industry . She was a top producing originator during that time. And well the rest is history ....
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My clients range from inexperienced first time home buyers to seasoned flippers. Most common questions are always on rates, cost, products, down payment requirements, what attorney should they use, how does the appraisal process effect them and so on.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I always start first and foremost with credit review in detail, then I discuss the options which will yield them the lowest monthly payment or lowest down payment. I always run at least 3-4 options to any applicant so that they can make an informed decision before choosing a final loan program and term.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
14 years in the BIZ. I started I the mortgage business as a processor and have worked most every aspect that's possible and ultimately determined that originating was more my fit. I truly enjoy being able to help people with the American dream of homeownership.
Tell us about a mortgage product that consumers may not be aware of?
Lender Paid Mortgage Insurance ... most borrowers have no clue what this even means.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
I think the part that some applicants find frustrating is once their loan has been decisioned, they feel as though they have to jump through hoops to get paperwork in. Or when conditions are asked of them, they may feel as though we are a bit intrusive in their personal information.
